Description of the attraction
Kaverzinsky waterfalls are a group of cascading waterfalls located in the area of the Khrebtovoy village, not far from the Goryachy Klyuch resort. In total, there are more than a dozen waterfalls, but the greatest interest among tourists is the Big Kaverzinsky waterfall. Here, falling from a 12-meter height with a powerful jet, dark blue water fills a huge bowl. So that all vacationers can admire the beauty of the water element, an observation deck was built near the main cascade, which can be climbed by a staircase built into the rock. Very often this place is used for halts.
The rest of the waterfalls are significantly inferior in height to the Big Kaverzinsky waterfall: the height of the water fall in them does not exceed seven meters. The water rolls over huge boulders, in places covered with bright green moss. Although the waterfalls are small, they are also quite interesting, because they are surrounded by amazing nature. Very often here you can find Caucasian fir and berry yew, various representatives of mosses and ferns. Visiting the local area in the spring, you can see how the meadow blooms with beautiful multi-colored flowers. Silence, abundance of greenery and clean air will enchant any visitor who has escaped from the everyday bustle of the city.
Traveling around these places, you can also visit the memorial in memory of the soldiers who died in the Great Patriotic War and the mass grave on the way from the village of Khrebtovoe. This memorial is dedicated to the memory of the Soviet troops who heroically defended the approaches to the Caucasus from the invasion of the German fascist invaders.
