Pleasure Beach is a large amusement park in Blackpool, UK.
The first amusement park appeared in 1896. Coney Island Park in the United States was taken as a model. The park expanded and Blackpool Pleasure Beach was founded in 1905. The park grew, expanded and developed. Pleasure Beach is a family business owned by the Thompson family.
Now the park has more than forty large attractions. In 1994, the Pepsi Max Big One roller coaster opened - one of the tallest, longest and fastest roller coasters in the world. At the highest points of the slides, signal lights for aircraft are lit in the dark. Blackpool airport is nearby. In some sections, trains accelerate to 119 km / h. And nearby there is still a rollercoaster from the beginning of the century - a funny contrast to modern high-tech rides.
Part of the park called Nickelodeon Land is intended for the smallest visitors to the park. Here they can ride small slides, swings and carousels.
The park has an indoor ice arena where figure skaters perform all year round. There are many restaurants, cafes and eateries in the park.
To enter the park, you need to purchase a special bracelet that is valid throughout the day. Bracelets come in different colors and, accordingly, give the right to ride on different attractions. You can also buy a variety of seasonal and family passes.
