Description of the attraction
Dacha Milos is one of the most famous monuments in Feodosia, built at the beginning of the twentieth century. Construction went on for two years. Its completion date is 1911.
This estate was designed and built by the order of Ivan Crimea, a well-known businessman. He and his family were from Feodosia. The building consists of two floors and a kind of terrace decorated with caryatids. The architects spent a lot of effort on this project and developed a complex construction plan. The slender proportions, spatial and volumetric solutions and the facade stylized in the style of ancient Greek architecture amaze the imagination. Sculptures of the heroes of antiquity, amazing marble fountains, numerous graceful statues serve as the architectural frame of the dacha.
The main façade of the Milos cottage is decorated with antique statues, and a statue of Venus de Milo is installed in the rotunda. This monument is popular and loved among tourists coming to Feodosia.
Nowadays, the sixth building of the Voskhod sanatorium is located in the Milos dacha. The profile of the sanatorium is the treatment of disorders of the digestive system, as well as disorders of the cardiovascular organs. In addition, Milos dacha has a café, a conference room, a currency exchange office and several bars.
Dacha Milos is at the same time a wonderful sanatorium, an interesting architectural monument, and a notable landmark of the city. This original building is located on the famous Feodosiya embankment.
