Description of the attraction
Tad Se Waterfalls Cascade is located 10 km from Luang Prabang. First, you should take a tak-tuk or a rented car to the Ban Amen village located on the Nam Khan River, and then transfer to a boat that will take you to the waterfalls.
It is difficult to say unequivocally which waterfalls are more beautiful - Tad Se or Kuang Si. Kuang Si is taller and more powerful. Tad Se grows shallow in the dry season, so it is not so interesting. But from July to February, when there is an abundance of rainwater in the jungle, Tad Se gains strength and falls into a pool with turquoise water, where it is allowed to swim at any time, which is what the locals use. The number of cascades of Tad Se waterfall varies from 5 to 15. It is wide enough, so a whole system of hinged bridges has been laid above it, allowing you to take amazingly beautiful pictures of falling water. There are changing cabins and picnic areas at the guests' service.
If impressions from the waterfall are not enough, then you can explore the jungle around it. They are completely safe. Locals have long understood that tourists are attracted by everything unknown, so for adventure seekers there are paths that lead to waterfalls of lower height and power, streams, as well as a small picturesque lake where you can also swim, however, the water here is not so transparent. like in the basin of the Tad Se waterfall.
Another attraction is offered to guests immediately after getting off the boat, right by the river. Having paid a certain amount of money, you can saddle an elephant and go with him to take a bath. A sea of laughter and positive emotions will be provided!
