Description of the attraction

Winter Gardens is a large entertainment complex in the center of Blackpool, UK. It includes a theater, ballroom, indoor gallery, conference rooms and more.

The conservatories were opened in the 1870s, with the Lord Mayor of London himself and the mayors of 68 of Britain's largest cities attending the grand opening. In 1889 the Opera House was opened, and in 1896 - the Imperial Ballroom. The complex was completed and expanded until 1939. The Opera House, which seats 3,000 spectators, is one of the largest theaters in the UK. It was designed by Frank Matcham, author of the Grand Theater and Ballroom at Blackpool Tower. The Imperial Ballroom with an area of 1160 sq. M. Is also one of the largest in the world.

The first Blackpool International Dance Festival was held here. Now it is used as a venue for conventions of various political parties, darts competitions and, of course, for balls and dance competitions.

The Pavilionmest Theater is undeservedly in the shadow of the Opera House, because its 600-seater auditorium is one of the most comfortable and pleasant in the city. Other rooms are also used for various celebrations, banquets, etc.
