Description of the attraction

The mini-zoo, which is located in Yaremche, is another of the attractions of this unique mountain town. If you are an admirer of wildlife and wild animals and love to observe them in their natural habitat, then come to the mini-zoo, which is located on the outskirts of the city, where the Zhonka River flows into the Prut.

The zoo was established relatively recently, in 1992, and is an open enclosure with an area of 5.3 hectares. It was conceived with the aim of breeding artiodactyls in their natural habitat. Deer, roe deer, wild boars with their numerous brood and many other animals found their refuge here.

This is a great place to visit with children. From wild animals, which behave very naturally near people, only the net separates. You will have a lot of fun if you want to feed the animals. And it doesn't matter if you haven't brought anything edible with you, animal feed is sold on the territory of the zoo. How funny it will be to watch the quarrel of wild boars of different ages for a piece of bread! The smallest and most frisky hogs grab a piece of bread and screech into the nearest bushes, until the older ones take the treat away from them. And what about feeding the deer - when they look directly into your eyes with theirs and carefully take food out of their hands.

The mini-zoo in Yaremche is a place only for positive impressions. There are no cages and enclosures here, and all conditions have been created for the reproduction and residence of animals. The area of the zoo is divided into 6 zones, and if the animals want to retire, they only need to move a few meters away from the fence, and they immediately find themselves in the Bukovina forest.

If you are in Yaremche, be sure to visit this zoo, it is open to the public all year round. And the animals are looking forward to new visitors who will bring treats every day.
