Previously, the house belonged to one of the most famous families in Andorra - the Areni-Plandolite dynasty, which played a huge role in the country's politics and economy. This luxurious house was erected in 1633 on the site of a destroyed building, built in 1613. Throughout its history, the house has undergone numerous changes. In 1985, the house of the Areni-Plandolit family was restored, and a year later (in 1986) it received its first visitors. The Andorran authorities have tried to preserve the appearance of the house and its interior in its original appearance.
