Description of the attraction

Turunc is a small coastal resort town on the shores of a beautiful bay, located in the Marmaris district, in a beautiful bay southwest of the city itself, at a distance of twenty kilometers. The natural lagoon is framed by steep cliffs, and the beautiful sandy beach in the Turunca Bay is five hundred meters long.

It has a very dry climate, much drier than Marmaris; humidity does not exceed 40-50% on average. Within sight of the sea there is a large island, which reliably protects the bay from stormy winds and large waves - they simply do not exist here.

In Turunce you can relax and enjoy the amazing beaches, sun and sea. The sea here is magnificent, it shimmers with all shades of blue: the water is absolutely transparent, so that the bottom is visible four meters, if not more, it is salty enough to stay on the water without any extra effort. The beach consists of imported coarse black sand. You will have to enter the sea on smooth large stones. Turunc was awarded the European Blue Flag certificate for the amazing cleanliness of the beaches and the sea.

You can swim here most of the year, because the temperature of the water and air never drops below 15 ° C, even during the winter months.

The town, viewed from above, is three-colored: red tiled roofs, cream-white house facades, and greenery. There is also a small seaport here. The sun rises over the sea, and sets behind the mountains, so the sunset here is early, but not fast.

On the slopes of mountains and hills mainly pine trees grow, and in the village itself - pomegranates, olives, magnolias, figs and palms. There are not many flowers here, unlike Marmaris. The air here is clean, and in the evening it smells like tar. The area also had a huge number of fruit trees, and the village names were derived from citrus varieties.

Life in Turunce is supported by yacht and boat stops requiring minor repairs and replenishment of travel provisions. Many yachts and boats anchor at night outside restaurants full of visitors.

The village has an embankment, followed by the central shopping street. There are minimarkets, a couple of dozen shops with beach accessories, souvenirs, leather clothes, jewelry and fruit-sweets. This cannot be called full-fledged shopping, but everything you need for a good rest is here. Along the embankment there are small two-story hotels and cafes, the prices of which are quite high.

The underwater world of this area is amazing and many-sided. There are many caves and underwater rocky ledges. You can also find opportunities for water sports and on the shore. However, all sports are allowed here, except those involving motorboats. This rule was introduced in order to avoid environmental pollution and excessive noise. Here you can also go through all the necessary training and diving training.

Fishing enthusiasts will be happy to visit Turunc, as fishing is very popular here.
