Description of the attraction

Banana Beach is one of the most popular and beautiful beaches on the Greek island of Skiathos. It is located on the southwestern coast of the island in a picturesque natural bay literally immersed in greenery, about 12 km from the town of Skiathos and 1 km from the famous beach center of Koukounaris. Despite the fact that this place is better known as "Banana Beach", officially the beach is called "Crassa", but today it is practically not used.

Banana Beach, in fact, consists of two separate magnificent beaches with fine golden sand separated only by a rocky formation - the so-called Big and Small Banana. Both beaches are well organized. Here you will find sun loungers and sun umbrellas, several beach bars and taverns where you can cool off and eat, and a lot of entertainment. Banana Beaches is one of the largest water sports centers in Skiathos. It is also one of the best windsurfing spots on the island.

Big Banana, or simply Banana, is famous for its beach parties and is very popular (especially among young people), so it is always crowded and noisy here. Loud music here practically does not subside from morning until late at night.

Small Banana is a quieter and more secluded beach, but it has its own specifics. It is the only official nudist beach in Skiathos and one of the most famous nudist beaches not only in Greece but also in Europe.

You will not find accommodation in the immediate vicinity of the beach, but you can comfortably stay in neighboring Koukounaris.

To the north of Banana Beach is another wonderful Skiathos beach - St. Helena Beach.
