Magnificent beaches, stretching endlessly along the Atlantic coast, form the most famous resort area in Portugal - the Algarve. The beaches in the Algarve are ready to offer any kind of relaxation to their guests. If you love long-distance swimming, quiet fishing or just calmly watching the waves slowly roll on the sand, then the Algarve is exactly the place that is definitely worth a visit.
Falésia beach
Three kilometers of white, like flour, sand surrounded by rocks of absolutely fantastic colors and shapes. They resemble a red-and-white African zebra, whose back is crowned with century-old pines. Local landscapes will remain in the memory of travelers for a long time.
Beach of Boats
It is also called "the beach of fishermen". Fishing boats, painted in different colors, are scattered throughout the beach, but this does not interfere with vacationers at all, but only gives this place a completely unique flavor.
The water here is completely transparent, so even the smallest pebbles at the bottom can be seen. The ocean is completely calm and leisurely waves lazily run onto the sandy shore. Various festive events and numerous festivals take place here.
Rocks beach
This beach area is in the TOP 25 of the best beaches in the country. The beauty of this place captures the imagination for a long time. The beach is surrounded by powerful rocks, under the pressure of the ocean, turned into huge arches.
Doña Ana beach
This beach is a great place to relax with the whole family. The infrastructure of this place includes everything you need for a comfortable time. Huge umbrellas, under which you can hide from the hot rays, comfortable sun loungers, beach bars and, of course, lifeguards.
San Rafael beach
Another beach destination suitable for families with children. Of course, this is not a "paddling pool", but the gentle entry into the water combined with soft sand is just the perfect combination for toddlers to play.
Figueira beach
This site is immensely popular with active youth and big wave hunters, but it will also be interesting for scuba diving. There are many interesting dive sites here. For example, in Boca do Rio, you can see the remains of a warship that belonged to the French flotilla of the 18th century.
The clear water provides excellent visibility, so you can observe the natural life of the inhabitants of the ocean depths or admire the magnificent coral gardens without disturbance.
Tourists who prefer to get a tan completely naked will love it here. There are two official nudist beaches in the Algarve:
- Praia do Barril in Tavira;
- Praia-dj-Adegash in Odessa.
Many of the beaches in Agarve have been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag Award, confirming the clean environment of the area.
