Description of the attraction
Paraga is a sandy beach on the south coast of the island of Mykonos. It is located in a small picturesque bay about 15-20 minutes drive from the capital of the island of the same name, next to such famous beaches of Mykonos as Platis Yialos and Paradise.
This beach gained its fame back in the early 70s, becoming, together with neighboring Paradise, a favorite destination for the "hippie generation". Today Paraga is one of the most popular beaches of Mykonos for both visitors to the island and locals.
Paraga is the azure waters of the Aegean Sea, soft sand, picturesque cliffs, as well as beach taverns and bars where you can cool off and have a snack. Here you can hide from the scorching sun not only under an umbrella, but also in the shade of trees growing on the beach, which is quite a rarity for Mykonos.
In the vicinity of Paraga beach there is a small selection of accommodation - mini-hotels, apartments, rooms, as well as a well-organized camping.
