Description of the attraction

One Street Museum is one of the first modern private museums in Kiev. The museum is dedicated to the history of the famous Andreevsky Spusk, as well as the life of its most famous inhabitants. The museum is based on items of the 19th-20th centuries - these are mainly manuscripts and documents, autographs, old photographs and postcards, as well as various antiques. With the help of the One Street Museum, visitors get a unique opportunity to get into the unique atmosphere of Andreevsky Spusk. This is a boudoir, filled with items of ladies' dress from bygone eras, and a dining room with a fully served table. In the museum you can also find the interiors of shops and workshops that were previously located on Andreevsky Spusk. It is not surprising that this museum is often jokingly called the shop of antiquities - its collection is so diverse.

Special attention in the museum is paid to interesting buildings located on the same Andreevsky Spusk. This is, first of all, the St. Andrew's Church by the famous architect Rastrelli, which gave the name to the street. The founders of the museum did not ignore the so-called Castle of Richard the Lionheart - the building in which Ukrainian artists and sculptors once lived - naturally, some of their works are also in the museum.

The owners of the One Street Museum do not stop there and try to constantly replenish their collection. In addition to permanent exhibitions, from time to time the museum organizes thematic exhibitions, for example, the death plaster masks of various celebrities. Guided tours of the museum can be either individual or group tours. During excursions, visitors can not only get acquainted with the exhibits of the museum, but also hear interesting tales and stories associated with both Andriyivsky Descent and its inhabitants.
