Description of the attraction

Shevchenko Hai is an open-air museum of folk architecture and life, which is located in one of the most beautiful and picturesque cities of Ukraine - Lviv. This magnificent park is spread to the east of the High Castle. This park is a favorite resting place for both city dwellers and visiting tourists. After all, here you can not only enjoy leisurely walks in the shade of century-old trees, but also touch the history.

The park is conventionally divided into zones, each of which represents the life of a particular ethnic group in Western Ukraine. It is noteworthy that all the exhibits, and these are more than 120 architectural monuments, are real village huts, churches, schools, mills that were active. They were carefully transferred to the Shevchenko Hai, thus creating one of the largest and most beautiful open-air museums.

The area of the guy is 60 hectares, the greatest value of the museum is a rural estate with a stable, built in 1812. It will be no less interesting to see the Boyko hut of 1903. The wooden church of 1763, which today is of national value, is also striking with its architecture. More than 20 thousand items of folk life are also presented here, which are collected from all over Western Ukraine and are carefully guarded by the museum workers.

What else is interesting about this museum? And the fact that there are no boring halls with exhibits on the shelves. There are no queues for tickets or the toilet. Shevchenko Hai is like a real village, with hills and lush vegetation of the Carpathians, with huts, a church, a school and a mill, a sawmill, and a felt-yard. Walking here, you will feel the flavor and atmosphere of the Ukrainian village. Both adults and children will be happy to visit this museum.
