Description of the attraction
Lishan Forest Park is located on the east side of Xi'an City. This place is known for its picturesque nature and a large number of historical monuments belonging to the Imperial period.
Due to the fact that the forest park is a very quiet, calm and beautiful place, here, since the reign of Zhou, capital officials began to build country houses and residences for themselves.
Lishan Forest Park is located in the valley of Linshan Mountain, where almost 13 centuries ago Emperor Xuan Zong and his concubine Yang Guifei swore eternal love to each other.
Other equally attractive and famous sights are located near the forest park. Among them, the Museum of Terracotta Warriors, the Taoist Temple of Lao Tzu, the Huaqingchi springs, and the burial place of Emperor Qin Shihuang di stand out. Many tourists come to Lishan Forest Park precisely because you can visit many different places at once, each of which has its own history and significance in the life of China.
For example, there is a lighthouse on the slope of Linshan Mountain. According to legend, at the lighthouse, Emperor Yu lit the lights every night for his wife Baoxi, who was often sad. Once the city was attacked by enemies, and the military did nothing, because they thought that it was their leader again having fun. As a result, the enemy troops won an easy victory, thanks to their unexpected appearance and the inattention of local troops.
On the territory of the forest park itself, the Sunset Pavilion has been created, from which a beautiful view of the local surroundings, the Wei River valley and the Huaqing hot springs opens up. In addition, the Arbor of Evening Dawn and the Mother's Hall are located on the territory of the forest park, which tourists who come to Xi'an seek to visit.
Everyone who has visited the forest park at least once remembers its tranquility and beauty, which are so lacking in the modern world.
