Description of the attraction

Copenhagen Tivoli Park is known worldwide as an entertainment and cultural recreation center for people of all ages. The park is located on eight hectares in the center of the Danish capital.

On August 15, 1843, the doors of Tivoli were opened to visitors. The founder of this beautiful recreation center was the Danish officer Georg Carstensen, who was able to convince Christian VIII to give this plot of land for a park. Today the park ranks third in Europe among the most visited entertainment centers. Tivoli is open five months a year. During this period of time, about four million people manage to visit it. Tourists from all over the world and residents of Copenhagen and its environs love to come here. The park has been rebuilt and improved all the time; today the recreation center also continues to develop.

Tivoli has beautiful fountains, a Moorish mosque, a lake, a Chinese pagoda, a concert hall, a Pantomime theater, and even the remains of a medieval fortress wall. The park is full of many attractions for children and adults. The most popular attractions are the Demon roller coaster and the world's tallest Star Flyer carousel. Two new attractions, Vertigo and Pendulum, have recently opened in Tivoli.

There are many souvenir shops, restaurants and cafes on the territory of the park, where you can eat deliciously, taste freshly brewed beer and mulled wine, walk along the alleys, watch the light and music show of fountains on the lake. It is especially beautiful in Tivoli in the evening, when a large number of colored lights fill the park.
