Description of the attraction
The sandy beach of Ftelia is the largest "wild" beach on the island of Mykonos. It is located on the northern coast of the island in the bay of Panormos, about 5 km from the capital of the island of the same name.
Surprisingly, despite its proximity to the capital, Ftelia is a fairly secluded beach and perfect for those who want to relax away from the hustle and bustle and excessive crowds. Ftelia Beach is also considered one of the best windsurfing spots on the island.
There are a couple of good taverns on the beach where you can have a great lunch, and in its vicinity there is a relatively good selection of accommodation - mini-hotels, villas, apartments, etc.
Archeology enthusiasts will be able to explore the ruins of a Neolithic settlement located almost on the beach, dating back to the middle of the 5th millennium BC.
