Description of the attraction
The Frida and Fred Children's Museum is located in a unique location - right in the middle of the Augarten park in the Austrian city of Graz. For children of all age groups, Frida & Fred offers exhibitions, seminars, theater performances and other events.
This children's museum, opened in 2003, is unusual, as here children can observe things directly "at work", which is the first step to understanding the essence of things. The possibility of interaction, play, experiments allows children to get to know the world and the processes taking place in it better. The museum tries to develop such exhibitions, where special emphasis is placed on contact with objects. The aim is to use various exhibition objects to gain a deeper understanding of the processes. Children who visit the museum's exhibitions have the opportunity to get acquainted with different thematic processes (water, soap bubbles, the human body).
The Frida and Fred Children's Museum allows children to learn more about the diversity of the world around them and better understand its complexity. Here children and their parents feel at home, are inspired to new experiments, and are involved in creative processes.
Various exhibitions are constantly held in the museum, a children's laboratory works, and theatrical performances are organized. In a medical laboratory dedicated to the study of the human body, children and young people can explore various anatomical models and build their own, conduct research on their own or assist doctors in play operations. In the medical laboratory, you can find out how your body works and how you can help doctors and scientists in the fields of medicine, work and research.
