Description of the attraction
The Art Museum in Tampere was opened in 1931. introduces its visitors to the art of Finland during the 19th century. The exposition consists of more than 7000 prints, drawings and sculptures made by more than 670 authors. The most widely represented paintings of the first decades of the last century, belonging to the pen of artists from Tampere: Carlo Vuori, Gabriel Enberg and others.
The museum has opened thematic historical and art exhibitions, the most popular of which - "Valley of the Moomins" - is dedicated to the books of Tuvve Jansen.
The Tampere Art Museum is known not only for its rich exhibitions, but also for its publishing activities, as well as the competition “Young Artist of the Year”.
