Description of the attraction

The Probiy waterfall is another attraction of the small mountain town of Yaremche. An amazing and unique waterfall is located on the Prut River. This beautiful place is annually visited by thousands of tourists from both Ukraine and abroad. The popularity of the waterfall is given by a twelve-meter bridge, from which you can watch how the fast mountain river Prut throws tons of crystal clear water into a natural foundation pit. One of the entertainment that local daredevils are given is jumping from the bridge into the very depths of the waterfall. Of course, they risk their lives by diving into the pit, which is thirty meters deep, for the money of tourists. However, there is something so mesmerizing about this power of the water that makes them do their madness again and again. You can just enjoy the beautiful view of the falling water and listen to the sound of the waterfall, which resembles a symphony.

For a long time, the water broke through a long gorge in the rock, and now the sound of the falling water is even more solemn and powerful. This place is also worth visiting because you can feel the real breath of nature here - steep cliffs, pristine forest, icy water from the mountains - all this gives strength and sets you in a peaceful mood.

Near the waterfall there is a market famous throughout Ukraine where you can buy local souvenirs - leather goods, natural wool, wood and much more. If you want to buy a dressed sheep or lamb skin or the warmest wool blankets and socks for your cottage, take a thicker wallet with you, because from the offered assortment you can lose your head and money. Fresh honey from belts, young Transcarpathian wine, berries, mushrooms are also brought here. Here, sitting in one of the small cafes, you can taste delicious traditional Hutsul cuisine.
