Description of the attraction
The Fairy Tale Toy Museum in the Polish city of Kudowa-Zdroj is a magical place where children can discover the joy and amazement of exploring toys from the times of their parents and grandparents, and adults can plunge into the forgotten world of their childhood.
The museum was opened on December 12, 2002. On an area of 300 square meters, there is a collection of several thousand toys from different times - from antiquity to the 80s of the 20th century. Here you can see old home theaters, Christmas toys, toys from famous films, dolls and their wardrobes, metal and military toys. The exposition presents school supplies and mini-classes, as well as interesting and unusual toys.
A toy is an ingenious invention that was at the disposal of each of us in childhood. They always reflect the era in which they were created: fashion, lifestyle, technology, historical events. The development of human culture can be tracked by how toys have changed.
The Toy Museum in Kudowa-Zdroj takes part in numerous outdoor exhibitions: in 2005 at the Klodzko Museum at the Christmas Toy exhibition, in 2006 at the Xiaz Castle at the Toys of Young Aristocrats exhibition, in 2011 they participated in the Toys of My Grandmothers and grandfathers."
In July 2010, the museum opened a branch in Krynica-Zdrój, where a collection of toys that had not been exhibited before was donated.
