Description of the attraction
The children's railway is located in the Lebyazhye forest park. The Lebyazhye Ozero forest park is a large area of forest between the village of Zalesny and Lake Izumrudnoye. Lake Emerald, called the Quarry among the people, is located in the village of Yudino.
The Children's Railway was opened in August 2007. Its length is 4, 288 km. Passengers of the road can ride along the route, which consists of four stations, a railway station and an electrical interlocking post building. The station and the control post are located in the village of Zalesny, not far from the railway technical school.
All buildings of the Children's Railway are made in a modern style and have intricate architectural forms. The design is dominated by blue mirrored glass, the walls are tiled with ceramic tiles.
The terminal station is Lake Emerald (or Yudinsky Quarry). There is a box office here. On the way, two platforms were built - Berezovaya Roshcha and Sportivnaya. The entire route runs along a green area, through a picturesque pine forest.
The children's railway has narrow-gauge tracks, 7 turnouts have been installed on them and two crossings have been made. The road is equipped with the most modern safety devices: traffic lights, auto-blocking systems, communication systems.
At the Children's Railway there is an educational building with classrooms equipped for classes. In the training center, schoolchildren can get acquainted with the specifics of working on the railway in various specialties: locomotives, railroad workers, specialists in signaling systems, communications and others.
There is a depot for the maintenance and repair of rolling stock.
The center is an institution of additional education, the activities of which are aimed at vocational guidance of students.
