Description of the attraction
The Children's Railway is an entertainment and educational center in Lviv, created in Stryisky Park in 1951. The history of the creation of this unique amusement park is interesting. The ChRW was created on the basis of the actually operating wide-gauge access track of the Persenkov station. It was decided to continue the existing road, and as a result, it ran along the entire perimeter of the park. Austrian track material was used in the construction of the railway lines. Until today, on the Lviv railway you can find old turnouts from the beginning of the last century. In order to regulate the movement, a special electric rail system and semaphores were created at the ChRW. The railway originally had three stations, and its length was one and a half kilometers. However, over time, part of the park was given over to other needs, and today a train ride on the Children's Railway lasts only five minutes.
However, despite this, it is still worth visiting the Lviv railway together with the children - it will give both them and you an unforgettable experience. Here you can not only plunge into the holiday atmosphere, but also see with your own eyes how the railway station works, take a ride on an old train, or feel like a real machinist or manager.
At the Children's Railway, a railway circle is constantly operating, in which children learn a lot of new and interesting things. They often hold various exhibitions and also organize parties for all children. Perhaps, it is on this railway that you can fulfill your childhood dream and, wearing the driver's cap, ride in the locomotive cabin, and feel absolutely happy.
