Museum-cruiser "Mikhail Kutuzov" is one of the sights of the city of Novorossiysk. The cruiser, located at the central embankment in the passenger port, is a branch of the Black Sea Fleet Museum and a popular destination among tourists and residents of the city. "Mikhail Kutuzov" is a ship-warrior with a rich track record, which was recognized by world experts as one of the masterpieces of world shipbuilding of the 20th century. That is why it was decided to keep it as a floating museum.

"Mikhail Kutuzov" was launched in November 1952. In 1964 she became the first ship in the Black Sea Fleet, which began to perform combat missions in the Atlantic and Mediterranean. From 1955 to 1992 the ship made visits to Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Romania, Algeria and Albania. In June 1967, he was in the war zone, providing assistance to the Egyptian armed forces during the Six Day War, which, however, did not affect its outcome. From August to December 1968 he carried out a combat mission in Syria. After 37 years, the cruiser was relocated to Novorossiysk, after which it became part of the Novorossiysk naval base as a museum ship.

Since the beginning of the voyage "Mikhail Kutuzov" has covered about 211900 miles.
