Description of the attraction
Just 8 km from the city of Thessaloniki, near the village of Tagarades, there is one of the best water parks in Greece - the Water Country Water Park. It first opened its doors to visitors in 1994, becoming at that time the largest water park in southeastern Europe.
Water Park "Water Country" is an ultra-modern complex of water attractions with a lot of entertainment and everything you need for a comfortable stay, as well as a unique water purification system. The water park covers an area of 150 thousand square meters. and this is a real paradise for lovers of water entertainment, where it will be interesting for both adults and children.
At the service of the youngest guests of the water park - an entertaining attraction "Pirate Island" and a special children's pool, while older children and adults will have a lot of pleasure visiting slides of different difficulty levels (including Kamikaze for fans of extreme sports), attractions "Crazy River" and “Tarzan”, “Zen” pool with hydromassage and, of course, the famous wave pool, where the wave height reaches 1.5 meters. The guests of the water park are entertained by a team of professional animators.
On the territory of the water park there is a children's playground, tennis courts, basketball and volleyball courts, and there are also several souvenir shops where you can buy a cute trinket as a keepsake. You can have lunch or just have a light snack and buy soft drinks at quite affordable prices in the restaurants and bars of the water park.
It is worth noting that the Water Country Water Park is open only in the summer, and the opening date should be clarified in advance (usually mid-June).
