Mysticism accompanies us everywhere. Even in the usual Moscow metro, there are many places where you can encounter spirits, and what can we say about the Russian outback, where during an ordinary walk you can fall into the other world, see a long-dead shaman, or, for example, find yourself in the ancestral home of the Aryans. We bring to your attention the top 5 mystical places in Russia.
Labyrinths on Solovki
The Solovetsky Islands in the White Sea attract not only pilgrims (the famous Solovetsky monastery-Kremlin is located here), but also psychics, ufologists and other lovers of mysticism. They are attracted to themselves, like a magnet, by the stone labyrinths - "Babylon", one of which can be seen not far from the monastery on Bolshoy Solovetsky Island.
Especially many labyrinths are located on Bolshoi Zayatsky Island, where excursions from the main island are organized.
Very little is known about the stone circles on Solovki:
- labyrinths are laid out on the ground from rounded smooth stones, forming the shape of spirals, but who did it and why it is not known for certain;
- scientists believe that "Babylon" appeared here in the II-I centuries. BC NS.;
- the Sami are sure that these labyrinths are the gates to the other world: the labyrinths were intended for the souls of dead people who, overcoming this last obstacle on Earth, ended up in a better world;
- it is also believed that the labyrinths were used by shamans for simple magical rituals.
Be sure to find the world's largest "Babylon" on the island, which is more than 25 meters in diameter.
Kashkulak cave
The three-tiered Kashkulak cave is one of the mystical places in Khakassia. Residents of nearby villages are even afraid to approach this karst formation. The guests of the cave are only fearless tourists, who, however, are always accompanied by a guide. They are shown only well-researched halls. Everything else remains inaccessible.
Of particular danger are not the corridors, in which it is difficult to get lost, but the wells, sinkholes leading to the lower floors of the cave.
There are many rumors connected with the Kashkulak Cave, also called the Black Devil's Cave. It is believed that it was once used by shamans for sacrifices. Until now, the spirit of some shaman is wandering around the cave, who is trying to lure as many innocent and unsuspecting people as possible into the underground passages. They say that on account of the shaman there are already 18 missing people.
One of the local stalagmites served as the altar for performing the rituals. Other cave formations resemble the grins of unseen creatures.
Arkaim settlement
Arkaim existed in the Urals in the Bronze Age, and then was destroyed in fire, as modern scientists believe, by the inhabitants themselves. Its difference from other similar settlements is that Arkaim was built up in accordance with a well-developed plan.
Now from it there are only outlines in the form of two shafts. Its inhabitants built houses of wood, which, naturally, have not survived to our time.
The study of Arkaim began in the 1990s, when it was decided to flood the area where it is located. Scientists were able to achieve the preservation of the archaeological site for posterity. During excavations, prehistoric artifacts were discovered here, which made it possible to form an idea of life in Arkaim.
The settlement should be sought in the Chelyabinsk region, in the place where the Utyaganka and Bolshaya Karaganka rivers join together. You can reach it in the summer by a regular bus from Chelyabinsk.
This place is considered sacred by esotericists, who for some reason are sure that it is here that the ancestral home of the Aryans is located.
Most tourists who come to Arkaim try to lay out a spiral of stones on the ground, repeating the shape of the settlement and appeasing the local spirits.
Stalin's bunker in Samara
In 1942, in Samara, which was then called Kuibyshev, an underground bunker was built for I. V. Stalin. It was assumed that, if necessary, the commander-in-chief of the USSR would be evacuated from Moscow and would be able to wait out difficult times behind sealed doors at a depth of 37 meters.
Stalin's bunker was a classified facility until 1990, when it was revealed to the general public and opened to the public. Now it houses the collection of the Civil Defense Museum.
Many legends are associated with Stalin's bunker. It was built by prisoners, who were then, according to the urban myth, shot so that they would not let slip about the existence of an underground strategic facility. Beria personally supervised the construction site, who repeatedly visited the facility.
There are also rumors that Stalin lived for some time in the Kuibyshev shelter. His double was in Moscow at that time.
Some local historians are sure that it was from this bunker that Stalin should have given the order to blow up the capital if the enemy enters it. Some of the workers serving the bunker even saw a paper on which were marked the places where explosives were planted in Moscow for such an event.
Metro in Moscow
The metro, well known to Muscovites, turns out to be full of secrets and mysteries. Many legends are associated with the metropolitan subway. One of them tells the story of a trackman who was so devoted to his work that even after his death he could not leave him. Now his ghost wanders through the tunnels, frightening quite live employees of the subway.
The lineman is accompanied by the Black Engineer. This spirit appeared in the subway after a catastrophe - a fire on a train. The driver who was injured in the fire became an extreme in this accident and still cannot calm down.
The third legend tells of a ghost train that runs along the Koltsevaya. The illuminated carriages contain people who disappeared along with the train itself in 1962. The train sometimes makes stops, hospitably opening its doors and collecting new passengers. Needless to say, they will become prisoners of the terrible express and will never be able to leave it.
Metro employees believe that the passengers who saw this train are simply mistaken. In fact, a very ordinary train is passing by them, just consisting of old cars.
