Bangkok is considered the city of dreams by at least several million tourists. There is everything here to fall in love, amaze, surprise and even hate, but one cannot be taken away from the city for sure: it attracts and remains forever in the heart. For a 15-million metropolis, the Thai capital looks very good and even cozy, there is a place for every traveler looking for thrills and piquant passions. But it will not be easy for inexperienced travelers to find a worthy place where to stay in Bangkok - there is too much choice, the range of prices and quality.

Hotels in Bangkok: tips and tricks

Most often, they come to Bangkok for sightseeing holidays and rarely stay in the room, usually the guests' program is so rich that there is hardly time for sleep and food. Therefore, it makes no sense to open "all inclusive" or "full board" hotels en masse. But the swimming pool in the hotel will not hurt to freshen up and recuperate after a difficult tourist day.

Other services in the form of spa, massage, shops, cafes can be a nice addition, but should not play a key role - in Bangkok you can easily find everything you need for a reasonable fee.

It is much more reasonable to pay attention to the living conditions - the size of the room, its technical equipment, the presence of an air conditioner, which is indispensable in a stuffy hot metropolis, furniture, decoration, etc. Let in the room you will only spend the night, but this is not a reason to settle in a shack, especially for little money you can rent quite decent housing.

Cheap guest houses, private hotels and hostels are usually not represented on the Internet; you will have to look for them yourself, relying on a city map and other materials. But this is always risky: on the one hand, the choice of housing is simply huge, on the other hand, without knowing the city, it is easy to wander in the wrong place.

When looking for a place to stay in Bangkok, it is worth considering the restrictions that reign behind the scenes in some establishments. So, tired of the local sex workers and their antics, many hotels, especially those claiming to be respectable, simply banned outsiders from staying in their rooms.

At the other extreme, there are motels for an hour or two, created and running specifically for short dates. Unknowing tourists no, no, and even managed to settle in a similar one. Of course, living in such a place is hardly a pleasure. So to be tempted by an unnecessarily low price is also not always reasonable - the annoying spirit of economy can sometimes lead to completely inappropriate places for recreation.

Prices for accommodation in Bangkok hotels depend on the level of the hotel, its conditions and the quality of service. A room in a cheap hotel will cost an average of 600-1000 baht per night, mid-range hotels cost between 1000-2000 baht, sometimes reaching 2500 baht. Expensive luxury hotels ask for 3,000 baht and more for their services, often the cost reaches 5,000 baht.

There are hundreds of streets, lanes, boulevards, promenades and neighborhoods in the huge Thai capital, but tourists and hoteliers are especially fond of several areas, where there is an increased liveliness, large concentrations of foreign guests and a record density of entertainment places per square meter. Let's consider them in more detail.

In Silom, you can have fun in nightclubs, discos, go-go bars. Not without gay establishments and parties purely for girls. In general, democracy and tolerance are at their best, which makes the area one of the most popular hangout places.

The night market and the Museum of Seashells also managed to be located right there, and other cultural institutions do not interfere with the general mood, diluting the landscape.
