Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Belarus and Germany have land borders with Poland. In the northern part of Poland has access to the Baltic Sea, in the western - to the Gulf of Szczeti and the Pomeranian Bay, in the eastern - to the Gdansk Bay.

The northern part of Poland is occupied by the Baltic Ridge, the southeastern and eastern parts are occupied by the Lublin and Lesser Poland Uplands, and 2/3 of the northern and central parts are occupied by the Polish Lowland. In the east stretch the Carpathians, and in the south - the Sudetes (the highest point of the country is the 2500-meter Rysy mountain in the Tatras). How to get to Poland?

Those who set off on the Moscow - Warsaw flight will spend 2 hours on the way (due to a stop at Belgrade airport, arrival at the destination can be expected after 5 hours, Hamburg and Zurich - after 9 hours, Frankfurt - after 6 hours), Moscow - Gdansk - at least 4, 5 hours (flight through the Danish capital), Moscow - Krakow - 2, 5 hours (a stop in Vantaa will extend the flight up to 7 hours, in Warsaw - up to 4 hours, in Munich and the Belgian capital - up to 8, 5 hours).

You can get to Poland by train in 20 hours (you can use the services of a direct branded train "Polonez" or a direct carriage through the Belarusian capital) or by Ecolines bus (departure - Riga Station).

Holidays in Poland

The Polish vacation involves a visit to the Shklyarsky Waterfall (its stream falls from a 13-meter height; nearby there is a mixed forest and a picturesque gorge), Poznan (the Royal Palace and the Gorky Palace, the Sienkiewicz Museum, the Church of the Virgin Mary and St. Stanislav), Krakow (famous Wawel Castle, St. Mary's Cathedral, Barbican, Kazimierz Quarter, a water park, the highest slide of which reaches 200 meters in height), Zakopane (famous for 10 ski resorts with a height difference of 800-2000 m).

  • Debki beach: is a popular wild beach, where you can not only relax in seclusion, but also go windsurfing (“catching the waves” here is possible thanks to the winds and the special terrain).
  • Leba beach: is a wide and picturesque beach, next to which everyone can admire the moving sand dunes (up to 30 m high) of the Slovinsky National Park.
  • Ustka beach: the channel divides the beach into 2 parts, one of which (east) is landscaped for family pastime (there are umbrellas, children's games), and the other (west) is a secluded “wild” beach area, focused on those who love silence and pristine nature.

Souvenirs from Poland

Polish souvenirs - gifts in the form of miniature copies of sea vessels, Wawel dragon (plastic figurines and soft toys), amber and coral ornaments, salt lamps, Goldwasser aniseed vodka, Gzhanes sweet wine, Krakow sausage, Hutsul carpets (their main decoration is geometric patterns).
