Taiwan, with its capital in Taipei, has an area of 36,178 square kilometers (the length of the coastline is 1,566 km). Taiwan is located in the Pacific Ocean and is 150 km away from mainland China (they are separated by the Taiwan Strait).
On the east side, Taiwan is washed by the Pacific Ocean, on the north - the East China Sea, and on the south - the Philippine and South China Seas.
The western part of Taiwan is a coastal plain, while extinct volcanoes are located in the north. As for the Taiwan Mountains stretching along the island, their highest point is the 3900-meter Yushan Mountain.
Taiwan includes provinces (Fujian and Taiwan), 5 centrally subordinated cities (Taichung, Xinbei, Kaohsiung and others) and 13 counties (Hsinchu, Yilan, Taitung, Zhanghuai, Miaoli, Lianjiang and others).
How to get to Taiwan?
There are no direct flights on the Moscow-Taipei route: tourists will be able to fly through Istanbul, Beijing and other cities together with Aeroflot, China Airlines, Korean Air. The fastest flights take 12 hours (stop in the capital of China). And those who need to be in Kaohsiung will be offered to fly there via Seoul (15 hours), Hanoi (22 hours) or Tokyo (24 hours).

- Baisha Beach: People flock to this beach for clean golden sand, beachfront hotels, waves great for surfing.
- Aimen Beach: The beach is geared towards water lovers and picnics.
- Fulong Beach: The width of this 3-kilometer beach (covered with white sand) is 60 m. Here you can sunbathe on a sun lounger, enjoy sailing, windsurfing and boogie boarding, and canoeing. Near Fulong Beach you can find supermarkets, restaurants, nightclubs, a small parking lot.
Souvenirs from Taiwan
