Features of thermal springs in Ukraine
Large reserves of thermal springs in Ukraine are located in the Transcarpathian region (their temperature is + 30-80˚C). So, the Irshava region will delight travelers with a deposit of methane iodine-bromine thermal water (temperature +39 degrees). It is used in the Borzhava sanatorium to increase immunity, lower blood pressure, normalize vascular and muscle tone, and improve urination. There you should also pamper yourself with taking spa baths (Casanova, Cleopatra, Nefertiti and others).
The Mukachevo region has thermal sulphide waters, the temperature of which is + 35˚C, and invites potential patients to recharge themselves with energy, strengthen the musculoskeletal system, and improve the condition of the skin in the Latoritsa complex.
And in the village of Velyatin, vacationers may be interested in the "Warm Waters" complex: there is a hydropathic establishment and 3 thermal pools (bathing duration - 15-25 minutes). It is worth noting that the waters of the village of Velyatin contain bromine and iodine in considerable quantities, and are extracted from wells from a kilometer depth (temperature + 40-60˚C, but for water procedures it is cooled to + 30-38 degrees). If you decide to swim in a cast-iron vat with "boiling water", do not ignore the village of Lumshory. These vats are filled with water obtained from a local hydrogen sulphide source, preheated over a fire.
Beregovo
Beregovo invites its guests to swim in the pool (the location is the educational and sports base "Transcarpathia"), water (it is enriched with fluorine, iodine, potassium and iron, and destroys pathogenic microbes) into which it comes from a geyser (1080-meter depth) and reaches +50 degrees. For bathing, the water is cooled to a comfortable +33 degrees, but it is worth considering: you cannot stay in it for more than 2 hours, otherwise the person may lose consciousness. It should be noted that in addition to the main one, there is a swimming pool for children - the water in it is maintained at + 36˚C.
Dosed bathing will improve overall health, normalize blood pressure and successfully cope with urological, heart and vascular diseases.
In Beregovo, the recreation center “Zhavoronok” also deserves the attention of vacationers. It has: indoor and outdoor thermal pools (temperature + 33-35˚C and + 43-45˚C; one of the pools is equipped with waterfalls and hydromassage); massage rooms; salt room (session lasts 40 minutes). Those who wish can resort to the help of the spa services salon and do a magnetic roller massage there, undergo a session of ultrasound therapy, angioprotective, anti-inflammatory and complex procedures.
Settlement Schastlivtsevo
Schastlivtsevo pleases vacationers with a geothermal spring. Its water, with a temperature of +70 degrees, is rich in radon, and bathing in it heals the entire body (this is possible due to beneficial radioactivity), and relieves the condition of patients with neuroses and psoriasis. Inhalation using this water will help cure allergies, bronchitis, and skin diseases.
The undoubted advantage of visiting the source in Schastlivtsevo is free admission to it. There is no security here, and all the improvement of the spring is water gushing from a 1600-meter depth from a protruding pipe.
Since there is a salt lake not far from the source, vacationers should not deprive it of their attention, especially since its main treasures are healing mud, blue clay and salt.
The village of Iron port
At guests' service there is a local geyser (the water in the spring is from a depth of 1572 m, it is kept at + 65-70˚C all year round) and 3 baths, one of which is filled with healing mud, and the other 2 are filled with hot mineral water (in the baths, water has dark brown). In the immediate vicinity of the baths, vacationers will find a room where they will be offered a massage, and cabins where they can change.
It is advisable to go here for the opportunity to heal joints, nervous and respiratory systems. The "velvet" period for resting at a local spring is September-March.
Village Kosino
The water in the village of Kosino is thermal sodium chloride (coming out of the well, from 1190 meters depth, the water has a temperature of + 60-80˚C). It is poured into pools that have comfortable slopes, railings, fountains, aqua bars, underwater geysers, painted yellow-brown, and promotes the excretion of salts from the kidneys. There are 3 swimming pools in Kosino, and 1 of them is intended for children. And those who wish will also be offered to take a steam bath in the Finnish sauna.
