Description of the attraction
Marmaris is proud of its four-kilometer waterfront. On it, 15-20 meters from the water, there are restaurants and clubs. Even Istanbul, home to about fifteen million inhabitants and the famous Bosphorus, does not have such a long promenade.
The embankment is extraordinarily beautiful. The clear sea, bay, mountains, palm trees, greenery, flowers, colorful hotel buildings in different styles - all this is extremely pleasing to the eye. On the walking path-promenade you can walk along all the beaches and hotels of the city, admire the "paradise bay" of Marmaris.
This seaside boulevard stretches along the entire city. And on the famous "Street of Bars" you will find excellent discos, nightclubs with show programs and live music, where the fun does not subside until the morning.
At night, Marmaris, if you look at it from the sea, looks like this: a long chain of illumination along the embankment of several kilometers and the lights of countless boats, yachts and steamers plying between Marmaris and the neighboring village of Icmeler, with stops at all major hotels.
Beautiful sailboats, yachts and boats are moored at the embankment. From here in the morning tourists go on excursions to neighboring islands. There are a lot of yachts in Marmaris - a whole forest of masts. Residents of the small town say with pride that the fourth largest "marina" in Turkey is located here. In addition, fifteen kilometers from the city there is a NATO base, from where warships come to the city a couple of times a year, to the delight of tourists. Regattas are held here at the beginning and at the end of the season.
There are restaurants adjacent to the yachts moored at the waterfront. The cuisine here is for every taste - European, local, vegetarian and seafood.
In Marmaris, you can find entertainment for all tastes. There are unlimited opportunities for water sports: three water parks, a well-developed entertainment infrastructure, the opportunity to visit interesting excursions. This city is loved for the atmosphere of endless celebration and carelessness. But no matter how impressive the ancient monuments are, the main advantage of Marmaris is, of course, the sea and beaches stretching like a sand spit along the pristine coastline.
