Tours to China have recently become more and more popular - tourists are attracted by extraordinary traditions, Chinese medicine, local architecture, beaches, and cuisine. The waterfalls of China can also be of no less interest to travelers.
Huangoshu
This waterfall, reaching 100 m wide, falls from a 78-meter height and is especially beautiful in May-October (it is worth planning a trip here at this time). In other months, Huangoshu flows in separate streams, stretching along the cliff. It is worth noting that Huangoshu is the only waterfall that can be viewed from six different angles, and inside it there is a 130 m long cave, from where tourists prefer to admire this water spectacle and listen to the “voice of Huangoshu”.
Pearl waterfall
The waterfall, reaching 310 m in width and 28 m in height, is so named because its flow, falling from a sloping terrace with calcite deposits, breaks into pearl drops (the “activity” of the waterfall is observed in the summer and autumn months). Its source is the Five Flowers Lake. In addition to the bewitching effect, the water soaked in minerals and salts has a healing effect (due to the geological structure of the area; relevant for those suffering from skin and lung diseases).
Detian
This three-level waterfall (the water level reaches its maximum in November-April), the total width of which is 200 m (depth - more than 120 m), is located on the Sino-Vietnamese border, and is fed by the Quay Son River. In its lower reaches, tourists will discover a lake, and around it - objects of tourist infrastructure in the form of cafes, viewing platforms, shops with souvenir products, hotels (windows in the rooms - overlooking the waterfall). In addition, in the lower reaches of Detian, those who wish are invited to go on a boat trip on a bamboo raft. If there is a desire to explore the hard-to-reach Tunlin gorge, located next to the waterfall, then travelers should prepare to overcome the path that passes through the cave of the neighboring gorge.
Hukou
This 20-meter waterfall (areas with a fast current have a high hydropower potential) is located on the Yellow River (up to 250 m wide) and is actively visited even in the winter months, when the Hukou completely freezes and turns into an ice sculpture of gigantic proportions.
