The capital of Latvia, the Baltic Pearl, is an excellent tourist destination: travelers will admire the diverse architecture, immerse themselves in a dynamic cultural and active life, and enjoy passive relaxation, in particular, the traditional Latvian bath.

The Dome Cathedral

The territory of the cathedral, the most recognizable symbol of Riga, is occupied by a parish, a concert hall (it is recommended to attend concerts to enjoy the sounds of an organ, which is 25 m high), a museum (the exposition is dedicated to the history of the city and navigation). In addition, the cathedral is famous for its tower (its height is over 95 m).

Swedish gate

Of the 8 gates, only one has survived - the Swedish Gate. In 1926, they were rented together with the house by the Society of Architects of Latvia, where a library is now located, where you can come to gain knowledge about the culture and history of the country.

Riga TV tower

The TV tower, over 368 m in height, is interesting for tourists by the presence of an observation deck at a height of 97 meters (an elevator will take them here in 40 seconds), from where they will be able to admire Riga and its suburbs, and the Gulf of Riga. In addition, at the entrance, guests will see the Sputnik stone (it is the work of Gulbis).

House of Blackheads

The house is interesting for its architecture (the facade is decorated with sculptures and frescoes), and it owes its name to tenants - the Brotherhood of Blackheads.

After reconstruction in 1999, excursions, exhibitions and special events began to be arranged here (from August 2012 to December 2015, the entrance to visitors is closed, since the temporary residence of the president is located here).

House with cats

This famous building with turrets, on which two black cats "walk", is fanned by a legend - the rich homeowner Blumer was not accepted as a member of the Riga Guild, as a result of which he built a house, installing on it the cats turned back to the building of the Guild of cats (Blumer was sued, but he did not lose the case, and today the cats are turned in the “right” direction).
