The country, in the name of which there are clearly silver notes, seems to be the most "European" in South America. The difficult history of its conquest keeps the eerie details of the extermination of local Indians, and therefore the inhabitants in modern Argentina have an exclusively European appearance. The local wines are in no way inferior to French or Spanish, and the favorite pastimes of tourists in cities and resorts in Argentina are looking for the steak of their dreams and taking part in tango lessons right on the streets. Otherwise, the rest is not much different from the classic one at any worthy resort in the world - beaches in the summer, excursions in any season and an excellent skiing in winter.
To the rhythm of tango
The fact that the dance of passion appeared precisely in Argentina is well known to people, even those who are very far from art. In the middle of the 19th century, pair dance was the lot of men, and only years later the Argentines decided that the lady would significantly decorate the dance composition. Since then, tango in the country of silver has been danced almost always and everywhere - right on the squares and streets of cities and villages, in nightclubs and restaurants, by professionals, amateurs and just passers-by.
In the resort of Argentina, where life is in full swing for twelve months a year, tango is loved and respected. In the city of Mar del Plata, this kind of dance art is gladly shown to guests in the form of enchanting shows in the Colon Theater and just in the midday city squares.
In addition to dancing, the famous resort of Argentina boasts excellent beaches, where from December to the end of March, an apple has nowhere to fall, and great restaurants, where you can and should try the best local cuisine. In addition to traditional summer beach activities in Mar del Plata, it is customary:
- Visit a casino that opened its doors in 1939. Its building is a local landmark, however, the opportunity to hit a big jackpot attracts gamblers here no less than the architecture of the mansion.
- Spend an evening at the Teatro Colon, where dance performances are held daily with the country's most famous dancers.
- Take surf lessons at local beaches. The season for practicing this sport, in the presence of a wetsuit, is much longer than just a beach swimsuit.
For sports and active
The ski season on the slopes of Patagonia lasts from June to the end of September, and in this sense, Argentina's resorts are a real boon for those Russian travelers who dream of snow-covered slopes even in summer. The slopes here are laid for athletes of all skill levels, the ski lifts are some of the best on the continent, and it is not difficult to choose a hotel even for those who are not used to overpaying for rest.
The most popular ski resorts in Argentina are Cerro Catedral, Las Lenhas and Cerro Baio.
