Territorial division in Hungarian does not look complicated at all. The original administrative unit is the regions, of which there are seven. Each region includes the regions of Hungary, here called the counties. In total, 19 counties are plotted on the map of the republic, which, in turn, are divided into 175 districts. This is followed by communities, which are self-governing through community meetings.

The most populated region of Hungary is Pest, where the capital of the country is located. More than 1.2 million citizens live in Pest. The capital itself, with a population of 1.7 million, is also set aside in a separate region, the copper. The least populated region is the Nograd County in the north of Hungary. Its territory is mostly covered with mountains.

The southernmost region of Hungary is Baranja. It is located along the Croatian border and is famous for its sunny Mediterranean climate and many healing thermal springs. The extreme east of Hungary is occupied by the Szabolcs-Szatmar-Bereg region, and in the west the borders of the country are adjacent to the Vash and Zala counties, each of which has a population of about a quarter of a million people.

It is located in the north of the country, and the Tokay-Hedyalya wine region itself is included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage lists.
