The airport in Taganrog "Yuzhny" is the second largest airport in the Rostov region, located 3 kilometers from the city center towards the southern outskirts. The runway of the airline, 2, 8 kilometers long, is reinforced with reinforced concrete and is capable of accommodating An-24, Il-96, TU-154 aircraft, as well as lighter aircraft of any type.
At the moment, Yuzhny Airport is used in three directions: for civil transportation, as an alternate airfield and as an experimental airfield of the Taganrog Aviation Plant.

Currently, the airline is carrying out a large-scale reconstruction, the purpose of which is to obtain international status and expand the geography of flights.
The airport modernization plan includes the construction of a new airport complex, modernization of the runway and equipping it with modern navigation systems, construction of a new flight control center, reconstruction of highways and renovation of the airport hotel complex.
Services and transport
The airport in Taganrog Yuzhny offers a limited range of services - only the most basic for passengers. It is assumed that by 2025 the airport will gain momentum and offer passengers more comfortable conditions.
The airport is located within the city limits, so there is regular public transport from here. Bus number 5 - runs along the route "Aviators Square" - "Brick Factory". Bus number 13 - goes to the residential complex "Russkoe Pole".
Trolleybus No. 14 will take you to the railway station. The final stop of the trolleybus No. 1 is the Central Market. City taxi services also offer their services.
