Higher education in Romania
For admission to universities in Romania, you need to provide a certificate of secondary education and have a good knowledge of the Romanian language. Therefore, it is advisable to use the preparatory language program (after studying for a year on such a course, you will need to pass a test for knowledge of the Romanian language).
The academic year in Romanian universities begins in September-October - it is divided into 2 semesters (the transition to the next semester is carried out after passing the exams). You can study in full-time, evening, part-time and part-time forms of study (as a rule, training on such forms is longer than on daytime).
There are several faculties and university colleges in Romania's higher education institutions. In addition, the universities have departments and small experimental laboratories (they conduct scientific research and are engaged in experimental industrial production).
To get higher education, you need to enter a university, academy or conservatory (duration of study - 4-6 years), after which graduates are awarded bachelor's degrees. To obtain a master's degree, you can continue to study in a specialization (master's programs). The training will take several more years. If you wish, you can enroll in doctoral studies (duration of study is 4-6 years), in order to subsequently be able to obtain a doctoral degree.
