Description of the attraction
The National Museum of Ethiopia is located in the center of Addis Ababa and has four sections. The archaeological and paleoanthropological departments of the museum house their collections on the ground floor of the building. Here you can see artifacts from archaeological sites and the remains of early hominids, including the world famous Lucy, a representative of the Afar Australopithecus, who lived more than three million years ago. On the floor above, you can see an exhibition of objects related to the ancient and medieval period of history, including personal belongings and regalia of the emperors of Ethiopia. The upper floors house collections of paintings and arts and crafts, as well as weapons and musical instruments.
