Description of the attraction
In 1920, the wealthy Romanian architect Georg Sebastian came to Hammamet. He built an unusual villa here. It is decorated with cypress trees, the pool is surrounded by columns, and the bedrooms have antique mirrors and Roman baths. Many celebrities have been here: André Gide and Maupassant, Flaubert and Georges Bernanos, Churchill and King George VI of England.
There is an amphitheater in the garden, where the International Arts Festival is held annually.
