The main and favorite Black Sea resort of every Soviet person, Crimea has always been a desirable tourist destination. Even today, it is difficult to find free tickets for trains and planes in the high season, and every house, dacha and even a city apartment is still rented by compassionate owners to all those who suffer from the sea, sun, magnificent sunburn and vivid resort experiences.
The regions of Crimea, which have access to the sea, receive annually tens of thousands of vacationers who prefer its beauty to the exoticism of distant wanderings.
Repeating the alphabet
Administratively, the territory of the peninsula is divided into 14 districts. 11 cities under republican subordination include rural settlements and form urban districts. In total, the region of Crimea is 25 municipal units, most of which are of vital interest to holidaymakers.
The alphabetical list is headed by the Bakhchisarai region and the city of Alushta, and at the bottom - by the region with the symbolic name Black Sea and the legendary Yalta. In the middle of the list of regions of Crimea - Sudak with a medieval fortress and Saki district with famous mud baths, the hero city of Kerch and the capital Simferopol district.
The southern coast of Crimea is a chain of urban districts that smoothly flow into each other, and therefore the uninitiated in geographical details do not understand where Big Yalta ends and Alushta begins, and are surprised that two neighboring restaurants with a common courtyard are located, it turns out, in different cities - Sudak and Feodosia.
Familiar strangers
The most significant resort areas of the Crimea are concentrated on its southern coast:
- Big Yalta has long ceased to be just a place where Chekhov built his dacha and wrote poetry Lesya Ukrainka. Today, the unofficial title of the resort capital of Crimea, Yalta, is deservedly so. It includes 32 settlements located in the very south and southeast of the peninsula. The best beaches are located within the borders of Yalta, modern boarding houses and hotels have been built. - In the northeast, Yalta borders on the Crimean region, which is no less significant for holidaymakers, - Alushta. It includes 26 settlements, even the names of which delight lovers of recreation on the Black Sea. Grape and Cypress, Lazurnoe and Radiant, Chaika and Utes - Alushta is waiting for those who do not like the bustle of the capital and crowded beaches. Here guests find comfort and even privacy, and prices in restaurants and hotels are somewhat lower than those in Yalta.
