Description of the attraction
Monte Gordo is a beautiful large city with wide streets. The city is divided into two parts by a highway, on one side there is a beach and an embankment, and on the other side there is a residential part of the city. There are many shops, cafes, bars and restaurants in the city limits, on the opposite side there is a spacious and wide promenade surrounded by palm trees, and further along the ocean, there is a golden sandy beach. The city has many high-rise hotels and high-rise residential buildings, complementing the urban landscape with the casino of Monte Gordo.
The Casino in Monte Gordo, built in 1934, is considered one of the liveliest entertainment centers in the Algarve. The casino has been closed several times for renovations. The gambling establishment was reopened in 1996. The casino is 65 km from Faro International Airport and just 6 km from the Spanish border.
Casino Monte Gordo attracts and impresses with its luxury and splendor. A special feature of the casino is its play area, which occupies two floors. The floors of the casino are connected by an escalator.
