Description of the attraction
The cathedral was built in 1883-1905 in the style of the Italian Renaissance. It consists of a central part topped with a large dome and two wings with chapels. The central nave is 98 meters high.
In the crypt of the cathedral there are 95 sarcophagi with the remains of the kings and princes of the Hohenzollern dynasty. The cathedral was badly damaged during the war. Its restoration was completed in 1993 with some simplifications - the Hohenzollern Memorial Chapel was dismantled.
Concerts, including organ concerts, are often held in the cathedral, as it has excellent acoustics.
