National Museum. A. Sheptytsky is one of the largest monuments of national culture in Ukraine, it is located in the city of Lviv. The museum consists of two buildings: one building is located at 20 Svobody Avenue, and the other at Dragomanova, 42. The museum was founded in early 1905 by the Greek Catholic Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky under the original name "Church Museum". The exposition has become one of the manifestations of the development of Ukrainian culture.

The museum has changed its name several times in its history. At the end of 1909 it was renamed the National Museum named after Metropolitan Andrei Count on Sheptychi Sheptytsky, and in July 1911 - the National Museum. Jubilee Scientific Foundation of the Galician Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky. The exposition was opened in December 1913.

Today the Lviv National Museum is the most powerful center in Ukraine and the world for the preservation, popularization and study of the achievements of Ukrainian spiritual and artistic significance.
