Description of the attraction

The Zaporozhye circus was opened back in 1972. A large number of outstanding representatives of circus art, such as Igor and Emil Kio, Yuri Nikulin, as well as the famous family dynasties of the Filatovs, Durovs and Zapashnykhs, performed on the arena of this circus.

Today this circus is one of the central organizers of many entertainment events; both children and adults of the city of Zaporozhye and the Zaporozhye region spend their leisure time in it. The Zaporozhye circus is constantly working to improve the artistic level of circus programs held in it and the level of service for the audience. It is for this reason that the attendance of the circus continues to grow every year. On average, according to statistics, more than 125 thousand people visit the Zaporozhye circus per year. Over the past six years, the circus has been visited by a total of more than 700,000 people.

The Zaporozhye circus also takes an active part in charitable activities: charitable performances are held here, giving the opportunity to forget deprived children at least for a while about illnesses and the fact that they do not have parents. In recent years, more than 60,000 orphans, children from low-income families, children with disabilities, children from families affected by the Chernobyl accident and other categories of citizens who need social protection have attended charity performances.

One of the brightest phenomena of the Zaporozhye State Circus is the jazz band, which was created under the strict guidance of conductor S. D. Kravets. From 2000 to 2004, the circus orchestra took part in concerts in Kiev with its new musical programs. The main direction in the creativity of the Zaporozhye circus orchestra is the presentation of music by Ukrainian composers (O. Bilash, I. Poklada).
