The main Crimean resort, the city of Yalta, is located on the southern coast of the peninsula. While resting here, tourists are not limited to just staying on the beach. The cable car to the top of Mount Ai-Petri leads from the village of Miskhor on the Black Sea coast. The terminal station is located at an altitude of more than 1100 meters above sea level, but the length of the structure functioning at any time of the year is almost three kilometers, which allows it to take its rightful place in the Guinness Book of Records.
Fans of mountain landscapes will have a 15-minute flight over the Yalta mountain-forest reserve, and the angle of elevation of the cable car near the mountain is also a record steep one.

Palaces of Crimea
Among the most popular attractions of the peninsula are the Crimean palaces:
- The castle of Alexander III, or Massandra Palace, was built at the end of the 19th century in the style of the French Renaissance. In Soviet times, Stalin's dacha was located here, and in the 90s of the last century, a museum of the Romanovs was opened in the palace. Travel from the bus station by trolleybus 1/3. The entrance to the park is free, but you will have to pay 300 rubles for the opportunity to inspect the interior.
- A little later, the Livadia Palace appeared on the map of Crimea, and this is another popular destination where to go from Yalta after a beach day. For independent travelers, buses of routes 5, 11, 32 and 47 are suitable. The entrance ticket price depends on the season, and the architectural monument opens at 10 am.
- The Vorontsov Palace in Alupka under Mount Ai-Petri was erected in the first half of the 19th century. It was built in the Moorish style, and its park is still an unsurpassed example of landscape art. Museum visitors are expected from 10 am every day except Monday and Friday.
Waterfalls and caves
Going to Crimea by car, you can plan various excursions to natural attractions.
