Description of the attraction
The creative center "Little Country" by Lyubov Malinovsky was opened in 2008. Malinovskaya Lyubov Ivanovna uses different techniques for making dolls (doll miniature, theater doll, plastic doll, textile doll). In this center, the artist passes on her skills both to children of all ages and to their parents. Children will be curious to learn about the toys that our grandparents played, get acquainted with dolls that were popular before Barbie, look at tumblers, baby dolls. Adults will be interested in the unique collection of dolls by leading Russian artists presented in the creative center, as well as ritual folk toys and more than a thousand items related to the life of a child.
The creative center includes several thematic rooms. In the hall "The Mystery of an Old Suitcase" ("Antique Lane"), the guide will tell you about the history of toys, you will see with your own eyes the "evolution" of dolls from the very first to modern toys. Here you will also be shown a collection of author's dolls made by artists of Karelia and Russia. In the exhibition hall dedicated to miniature dolls, there are tiny fairytale castles and mysterious dungeons inhabited by little inhabitants: gnomes, elves. In total, more than 40 dolls live here, each of which is no more than eight centimeters.
There is also a puppet theater in the center - "Teatralnaya Ploschad" - a magical place where a fairy tale comes to life. This is one of the smallest puppet theaters (only 30 seats), with unusual performances, where, of course, the main role is played by the puppets collected in the creative center. The club of the young family "Beginning" is engaged in staging performances for visitors with children, here you can find out the nearest theater repertoire and sign up for a creative group.
You can buy a unique toy in the designer gifts salon. Such a wide selection of toys and souvenirs cannot be found in any other store in the city. Here there is an opportunity to get a doll directly from the author's hands, which is even more pleasant and memorable.
The school of puppet design is definitely worth a visit to all those who want to join the creativity. You will be given a master class on drawing with various techniques. Here everyone can feel like a child, have fun, recharge with positive and creative mood. You will also be reminded of a toy created by your own hands. Master classes are held, and especially for parents in the classroom, it is told about unconventional drawing methods that contribute to the development of imagination, creativity, fine motor skills of the hands and coherent speech of babies.
