Description of the attraction
The Ice Palace of the city of Cherepovets is a universal sports and concert complex, the main activity of which is to organize and conduct matches of the Russian Ice Hockey Championship, cultural, sports, entertainment and entertainment events. The capacity of the Ice Palace is quite big, it can accommodate 6,000 spectators. There are four cozy buffets and a roomy restaurant located above the upper rows of stands, where entertainment and sports events are broadcast. An entertainment center "Otdykhaka" for adults and children operates in the lobby all year round. Well, the special pride of the palace is impeccably smooth and perfectly transparent ice.
In 2003, it was decided to build an Ice Palace in Cherepovets. Vyacheslav Pozgalev, the governor of the Vologda region, announced this. In the spring, on April 8, 2005, the first stone was laid, and Vyacheslav Pozgalev was directly involved in this ceremony. The opening of the Ice Palace in Cherepovets took place in the fall of 2006. The opening ceremony of the Ice Palace was attended by more than 5 thousand residents and guests of the city. All of them had the opportunity to watch a colorful theatrical show, the highlight of which was the performance on the newly made ice of Olympic figure skaters Roman Kostomarov and Tatiana Navka. The opening ceremony was attended by guests of honor - Honored Master of Sports Vladislav Tretyak, Vladimir Loginov - President of the Russian Cross-Country Skiing Federation.
The first hockey match at the new arena was played on November 15, 2006. The teams “Severstal” and “Siberia” fought for the victory, the game ended in favor of the hosts with a score of 5: 3. The hockey teams Severstal and Almaz hold their home matches here.
For concerts, with the help of a special covering and additional chairs, the ice rink is converted into a stall with additional seats. Also in the foyer and in the arena of the Ice Palace there is a possibility of holding various exhibitions. We have exhibition equipment and more than five thousand square meters of space. The palace can truly be called the largest exhibition area in the Vologda region. 2007 to 2010 at the end of spring, the arena hosted ice-carting competitions among amateurs. Since May 2011, when the ice thaws in the Ice Palace, a floorball court has been functioning in the arena; here you can also go rollerblading, so fans of energetic rest do not relax even in the warm season.
On the territory of the complex, festive programs are held for visitors with the involvement of a circus collective (congratulations, meetings, contests and games, performances of groups). Table tennis and ice hockey are available on site. Mass skating with a training instructor or animation team is regularly organized. There are frequent figure skating competitions, discos and ice shows, conferences, exhibitions and other public events.
The ice rink is equipped with modern equipment. A modern compressor station is used for ice preparation and provides the required temperature all year round. The fire safety system is fully automated, which makes it possible to control the occurrence of fires in the building and, if necessary, start extinguishing the fire without human intervention. Escape routes and a modern smoke exhaust system, which are designed in accordance with world standards, in case of an emergency, will allow people to be evacuated from the building in a short period of time. A video surveillance system helps to maintain control both outside and inside the building, which makes it possible to take quick action in order to prevent public disturbances during events.
