Description of the attraction
The Beer Museum is located in Lviv and is one of the newest (was created in 2005) and visited museums in this ancient city. The one of a kind museum of this kind in Ukraine friendlyly opens its doors to visitors every day except Tuesday. The museum was founded in honor of the 290th anniversary of the opening of the first brewery in Lviv.
Museum visitors will be able to learn about all the mysteries of brewing, as well as hear interesting facts from the history of this foamy drink, which is not only very tasty, but also healthy. The history of brewing goes back more than one century, and in the museum you can fully immerse yourself in such a mysterious and mysterious world of medieval beer halls.
You will learn that the malt is actually not sweet, but very bitter. And only after a complex procedure of fermentation and filtration, the beer takes on its sweetish bitter taste, which is so appreciated to this day. The first beer was brewed by monks, and they carefully guarded the secrets of their work. Later, private breweries began to appear around the world, which experimented and tried to create their own unique recipe. In the museum, you can see an exposition of antique embossed beer bottles, beer mugs from around the world, barrels for transporting foamy drink, as well as ancient recipe books.
And if during a visit to the museum you are tired and want to relax a bit - your attention is paid to a video about the oldest brewery. And, of course, there is a tasting room where you can enjoy the taste of fresh beer, taste many different varieties and buy souvenirs. The museum is located on the territory of the operating Lviv brewery, so if you even got to the territory of the plant, you will have to wait a bit for the excursion to be assembled.
