Description of the attraction

The island of St. Nicholas is considered one of the few inhabited Croatian islands that surround the town of Poreč. You can get to it by boat or boat. These boats run to the island from the Poreč pier quite often - every 15 minutes.

On the island of St. Nicholas, your eyes will see a real abundance of natural sights. Each tourist can walk through the local fragrant forest, which is spread over a hilly area. Here you will meet different animals, for example, hares and squirrels, as well as enjoy the beautiful singing of birds and the view of magnificent peacocks roaming freely in the park.

Various animals and birds appeared on this island in the 19th century. They were brought by order of the nobility to brighten up the rest. In the same period, the castle was built, which is made in the Tuscan style. In addition, there is a small lighthouse and an old tower on the island of St. Nicholas.

If you are staying here, be sure to visit the magnificent small pebble beach. It was designated the European blue flag for the purity of the water and coastline.
