Due to favorable climatic conditions and fertile soils, most of the Taman Peninsula is occupied by vineyards. The amber cluster has been cultivated here since time immemorial on thousands of hectares. Now on the plantations of Taman, new pure-variety certified plantings of Cabernet, Sauvignon and Merlot, acquired in the late 90s of the last century in France, are being planted.

In the village of Taman, Temryuk district on the street. Karl Marx, in the basement of the Hermonassa cafe the Fanagoria winery opened the Museum of Wine and the History of Winemaking. The museum contains numerous exclusive exhibits that tell about the development of winemaking from ancient times to the present day. Of particular interest are the tools of ancient winemakers, wooden and ceramic dishes, vats for pressing grapes and containers in which grape juice ferments. The exposition of the museum presents almost all the famous varieties of Taman wine, numerous diplomas and awards from regional and international competitions.

During a tour of the museum, tourists will be told about the peculiarities of growing grapes, the nuances of making red and white wines, the differences between cognac and brandy, ordinary wines from vintage wines, and many other interesting details of the ancient production and culture of consumption of grape drinks. They will introduce the best samples of wine and vodka products from ten wineries on the Taman Peninsula.

A rare sightseer will refuse to continue a tour of the museum in the tasting room at the museum. Here you will be told everything about the grape varieties of the Taman Peninsula, about the wines that are produced at local enterprises, they will teach you the intricacies of tasting, consumption and combination of wines with food, they will tell you about the features and properties of Cahors, sherry, Madeira.
