Description of the attraction
The Svir gorge is an amazing corner of wildlife, located on the outskirts of the resort village of Lazarevskoye, above the Svirsky stream. The gorge is a picturesque valley with a panoramic view of mountains and rocks, water bowls and numerous waterfalls.
The Svir Gorge is one of the most easily accessible tourist routes in the Krasnodar Territory and it will not be difficult to get to it. For tourists, the path to the Svir Gorge is marked with paint - on pebbles, boulders and trees, so it is almost impossible to get lost here. Strong bridges, ladders with railings, and neat crossings will facilitate movement along the gorge.
After walking literally 200 m along the rocky gorge of the river, you can go to a large green meadow located near the waterfalls. There are wide wooden tables, benches, a huge barbecue for cooking food and barbecue. To the right of the glade there is a gorge, which will lead to the seven-meter waterfall "Svirsky".
In the Svir Gorge, you can see one of the most ancient structures of the Bronze Age - the "Slava" dolmen. Further, the hiking trail leads to the largest waterfall in this gorge - "Mother-in-law's Tears". The waterfall has a deep and wide bathing pit. A little higher than this wonderful waterfall there is a huge block of sandstone - "Moonstone", the height of which is about - 5 m, and its perimeter is 10 m. There is a legend that the one who makes a wish during the full moon and touches the stone with his palm, then it is obligatory will come true. The Moonstone is under state protection.
The hiking trail ends in a quiet, secluded spot topped by the Adam and Eve waterfall. Moving along the Svir Gorge, you can find many other attractive objects, including bizarre rocks, water pits where you can swim, huge boulders, many shrubs, trees and exotic flowers. And if you're lucky, you can also see forest dwellers: badger, marten, hedgehog, fox or wood grouse.
